Geotechnical

Secure Consulting Engineers works closely with local geotechnical engineers at firms such as CTL/Thompson, Inc., Ed Church and Associates, Inc., and Total Engineering.  We can also coordinate soil and subsurface exploration for your projects. In this way, we can provide our customers with a "one-stop-shop" for their project needs.

We also have geologists and geotechnical engineers on staff.  We can offer the following suite of in-house soil exploration services:

Shallow Subsurface Investigation Report

In areas where expansive soils are not prevalent and where prior information pertaining to the subsurface conditions exist, geotechnical criteria for foundation design can be determined sometimes through shallow excavations (3' to 14' deep), soil sampling, and visual classifications.  We offer this type of exploration along with dynamic cone penetration resistance testing for verification of bearing capacity.

Foundation Excavation Observation

In order to verify soil conditions are consistent with that used in foundation design, it is recommended on all sites that a foundation excavation observation be performed.  During this field work, a technician or engineer visits the site and visually classifies subsurface conditions in order to verify that everything is expected.
